PHASE
V - Follow-up and final evaluation
An important part in the evaluation of the project will be to assess the company’s performance against the key performance indicators in order to measure productivity improvement.
As each key performance indicator will differ from company to company, the evaluation will be specific to each company. Particular attention will be paid to the following:-
• Production output
• Operating efficiency of the direct labour force
• Added value per standard hour produced
• Cost per standard hour charged
• Cost per standard hour produced
• Defect rate per hundred units produced
• Throughput time
• On time delivery performance
• Style changeover time
Follow up will be carried out by the ECCSL 6 months after the completion of the project to determine the overall impact of the project and to provide information on additional resources that maybe required. Follow up will identify any future needs, and will also make a final assessment on the benefits of the project, being as objective as possible taking into account the key performance indicators the individual companies were working to achieve.
