VISIT OUR DOCUMENTATION CENTRE

ECCSL has set up its library and documentation centre, which includes information on EU Environmental Policies, CE Labeling, Funding Programmes, Directories etc. The CD Rom version of the Kompass Europe Directory is now available with us. The Directory includes a comprehensive database containing information on 350,000 companies (Manufacturers, Importers, Exporters and Service Providers) from the European Union.

WHAT'S EUR-OP ??

EUR-OP is the official publisher of all the institutions of the European Union, such as the European Parliament, the Council of Ministers, the European Commission, the Court of Justice, the Economic and Social Committee, the European Foundation for the improvement of Living and Working Conditions, the European Investment Bank and other Union authorities such as agencies. Thus, all information related to the European Union can be found in EUR-OP's publications.

Selected Instruments Relating to The Community Trade Mark

This contains the texts of the Community Trade Mark Regulation, the Implementing Regulation, the Fees Regulation and the Rules of Procedure of the Board of Appeal, as well as the most relevant Decisions and Communications. In addition, the Harmonization Directive on the law of trade marks and the provisions of the Paris Convention and the TRIPS Agreement relevant to trade marks have been added.

Research on changing world on work

This report covers research in seven EU countries, analysing new work organisational forms, new contractual arrangements and use of working time, new technologies, changes in the workforce and changes in the occupational safety and health systems. The report also contains teamwork, decentralisation of supportive tasks, job enlargement, knowledge management, teleworking and virtual networks.

Consumers in Europe. Facts and Figures. Data 1996 - 2000

The aim of this publication is to present, for the first time, a comprehensive collection of the most important data available from different sources on consumption patterns, including expenditure and prices, and on consumer attitudes and quality indicators on the European Union, as well as providing details of European policy initiatives. It examines the realities of the European economy and the European Single Market from the consumer's viewpoint. It provides an essential source of information to policy-makers concerned with consumer protection and with the impact with European and national policies on consumers; to advertisers and other businesses interested in European wide markets; indeed, to anybody interested in Europe's spending patterns and consumption habits.

ECCSL Trade Directory

The first ever ECCSL Trade Directory was recently published by the Chamber .

It contains details listing of its 250 strong member companies, which will serve as a handy reference for all EU enterprises seeking to do business with Sri Lanka. it also contains a profile of Sri Lanka: its economy, geography and populations characteristics.

It is a good starting point in the identification of potential business partners as it present a comprehensive overview of companies from difference sectors, thief products and services and other relevant company information which will help local and foreign companies in their search for new partners. In this regard, the directories are being sent to major chambers and trade promotions organizations in the EU, EU embassies in the EU countries, to help EU companies with their search for appropriate partners in Sri Lanka.
