European Catalogue Exhibition

An initiative of the European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, this unique initiative will be complimented with the first “European Catalogue Exhibition 2009” featuring the New European Union consisting today of 27 member states. The exhibition is aimed at portraying the European Union, Sri Lanka's largest trading partner today; as the source for quality products, know-how and technology for Sri Lanka.  The European Catalogue Exhibition will be a key attraction within the upcoming EU-Sri Lanka Business Summit 2009. ECCSL is of the view that this initiative would be a great success and would contribute towards the European Unions “Global Europe” initiative.

The identified sectors are fortes of each partner country with potential market access opportunities that have thus far not been capitalized. This Europe Sri Lanka Partnership project will be promoted among the Sri Lankan Business Community by The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL).  I invite European Companies to grace this occasion which I envision will serve to create and cement the long trade partnership. It is hoped that this event will revitalize our trade relations so that together we can create new trade milestones as well as environmentally sound projects that will help ensure a clean healthy future for our next generation.  In todays’ globalize world where markets are without frontiers, we are confident that events such as catalogue exhibitions can be cost-effective and beneficial to all companies, particularly small and medium enterprises.

It is envisaged that European Catalogue Exhibition - will provide European enterprises with a platform for making new contacts and developing broader business opportunities through :

• Opportunity to participate in the EU Sri Lanka Business Summit 2009.
